Information for your stay in our private in-patient hospital
Your attending physician organizes, with our staff, the time of your admission as an in-patient to receive treatment for your illness. At the same time, an appointment is made for the operating theatre should surgery be necessary.
On the day of your admission, you first go into the admission office (“Aufnahme“) on the ground floor. When you have dealt with all the formalities in the admission office, you will go to your ward – normally accompanied by one of the receptionists or a porter.
Please bring the following documents with you, when you are admitted to our hospital:
For your medical treatment/care
- Relevant previous diagnostic findings
- Image reports, referring to the operating field or the admission diagnosis
- Patient history sheet (if available)
- Blood group identification card (if available)
For administrative matters
- E-Card (if available)
- Private Medical Insurance - PMI (card or policy number)
- Confirmation of cost-coverage of your non-Austrian private insurance or deposit
A deposit is demanded from all patients, who have no private medical insurance.
Non-Austrian private insurance companies
Direct settlement is possible between our hospital and the following Non-Austrian private insurance companies:
Signal Iduna, AXA, DKV, Winterthur, Vereinte, Gothaer, Central, BUPA, Vanbreda, Aetna and Allianz Worldwide.
You can be discharged any day, that means also on Saturday and Sunday. A confirmation of stay can be obtained from admissions on the day of discharge.
If you leave at a time where the admission office is closed, please ask your ward sister to call there in advance so they can prepare the discharge papers for you. You can then either pick them up at admissions or somebody will bring them to your room. Of course, we will also send you the confirmation by mail, if requested. We kindly request that you settle your bills – for example for telephone – at the reception before you leave.
You can use either cash cards or all major credit cards to settle your bill in our hospital. If you are a direct paying patient or if you have made other special arrangements, we kindly ask you to discuss this with our admission office. When you leave the ward, please inform the nurse as well, so that she can make the administrative arrangements necessary for your discharge.
