Center for Endoscopy
Wehrle Private Hospital's Center for Endoscopy represents an interdisciplinary forum where both internal medicine and urology come into play.
With the use of endoscopy body cavities and hollow organs can (may) be viewed. For this purpose, an internist pushes a flexible rubber hose or a thin metal tube, called endoscope, into a man-made or naturally occurring body opening. Even if tissue may get irritated during endoscopy, it is overall a very gentle and safe examination. The advantage of this method is that it provides very accurate test results and can often replace more complex interventions.
